A Cryptid Creator Corner Podcast interview with host Byron O'Neal

My guest for this episode of the Cryptic Creator Corner is Dr. Andrea Lorenzo Molinari, Editorial Director for Scout Comics and writer/creator of The Shepherd comics series on Scout’s Black Caravan Imprint. 

I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to hear more about this very unique comic that has been billed as a horror title, and yes, all the hallmarks are there but it has such an overwhelmingly positive message that I hesitate personally to call it such. This interview is focusing on the third and most recent installment of the series, The Valentine, and its companion, The Pit. The Pit hit me right in the feels as a dog lover but the message is a tough one and I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone as it deals with dog fighting specifically. It was also a great opportunity to hear about what Andrea’s role is as Scout’s Editorial Director and how they are doing recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ian that hit our region last September. Scout HQ is just down the road from me and the rebuilding is ongoing even if the news crews are long gone.

I hope you will give it a listen. As a theologian, Andrea has a very thoughtful and mythologically holistic approach to laying out this storyline. Quite interesting.
